Current Status: Pilot trainee, and going Australia 27th April

Before my blog goes into hibernation mode again (like it's always been prone to), let me provide some updates of my life and its heading before I unwittingly go missing again haha.

First thing first, I'm SOOO HAPPY that I'm finally a pilot trainee now!!!!!!!!! Though the chances of eventually succeeding in becoming a full-fledged pilot is extremely low (passing rate is usually around 10% to 20% per course), I delight in being able to fly to Australia to enjoy the scenery and immerse myself in the wonderful world of aviation soon on the 27th April (coming soon!)! Down there in Tamworth, I will be taking up the most basic flying training (air grading) course whereby trainees will be put on a highly steep learning curve to learn ALL about basic flying (from conducting checks on the instruments, taking off an airplane, flying it around accurately, transmitting on radio to the relevant controllers, to landing), everything within a month!

Although I may not make it eventually, I think that this experience of being able to fly an aircraft up in the sky is worth my bestest efforts put in, and I'm gonna put in all of my sweat and soul to pass the course, for the rewards are so awesome if I can succeed! And of course before that, I would like to thank my friends who have been supporting me since ages ago in my aspiration to take up the route as a pilot trainee. You guys rock! =D

Here's a picture of the aircraft which I will be flying for the month of May 09 (the CT4B):

Life's getting pretty much exciting from here, and I look forward to the journey which I will be embarking on. Right now it's almost all about studying flying notes and preparing myself for the Tamworth experience. Haha being a pilot trainee really demands high standards - with lots of material to study, intensive training to go through and many other tasks to handle! But tough as it may sound, the rewards are absolutely tremendous.

To all my friends, I will definitely miss all of you, and if we can't meet up before I depart, I really wish that we can meet up as soon as possible after I came back from Australia to catch up on lost times! Haha.

Alright! Let's hope for the very best in the future. Cheers to all! =)

YES WE CAN - Barack Obama

It was a creed written into the founding documents that declared the destiny of a nation. Yes we can.
It was whispered by slaves and abolitionists as they blazed a trail toward freedom. Yes we can.
It was sung by immigrants as they struck out from distant shores and pioneers who pushed westward against an unforgiving wilderness. Yes we can.
It was the call of workers who organized; women who reached for the ballots; a President who chose the moon as our new frontier; and a King who took us to the mountaintop and pointed the way to the Promised Land.
Yes we can to justice and equality.
Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity.
Yes we can heal this nation.
Yes we can repair this world.
Yes we can.
We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change.
We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics... they will only grow louder and more dissonant ........... We've been asked to pause for a reality check. We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.
But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope.
Now the hopes of the little girl who goes to a crumbling school in Dillon are the same as the dreams of the boy who learns on the streets of LA; we will remember that there is something happening in America; that we are not as divided as our politics suggests; that we are one people; we are one nation; and together, we will begin the next great chapter in the American story with three words that will ring from coast to coast; from sea to shining sea --

YES WE CAN!
