Updates after A levels-and be thankful!

Woo A levels are finally over! (haha it's been over long ago since last week, but James just has to relieve himself, unwind deadly stress, and celebrate all the good in the world and procrastinate with alacrity before embarking on simple2remember again...)

Yes A levels are finally and finally over! Alas!

Woo! Praise God that all of us endured through!

Now that all has been done, and we have put in our very best, let's just enjoy the remaining holidays (before the dreadful National Service for the truly blessed...) and live each day with a celebratory mood before we collect our results in March 2008! And i'm sure all of us will wear smiles on our faces. Well, you may doubt, but as i have learnt over these weeks, always hope for the best! Who knows? haha.

Life is just such a blessing. Be thankful that we are able to wake up every morning with a new surge of energy overflowing in us, ever indicative of the freshness and hopes ahead! Be appreciative of the morning air, the family we say "o-hai-yo!" to, and all the friends accompanying us for the rest of the day in orchard road, camps, shopping malls, expeditions and even online or on the phone! I love life.

And ah-ha, it's not only the holidays. Even when toiling in work during the daily worklife, isn't it such a blessing to be able to strive towards success each day and ever bearing the hope of enjoying the sweet fruits of labour one day? Not to forget all those comrades whom are always alongside you all day long with their most earnest encouragements and genuinely sincere fellowships! Be thankful! =)

Sometimes i feel thankful for the existence of poverty too, for the presence of wars and broken families and the woes of the needy. Yes i know that shouldn't be the case, BUT they do in fact show us how blessed the commonfolks like us are! Being born in a safe and peaceful country, having at least one close family member by your side, enjoying the company of at least one close friend, and not having to worry about not having enough to eat to fulfil the daily 3-meals requirement.... Aren't we just so blessed?

But in case you think James is a sadist rejoicing over others' misfortune, NO! haha. James is a regular volunteer at Meet the People's Sessions helping needy Singaporeans, a contant volunteer at South East CDC, and continuously initiating and running community projects!

It is the fact that i'm so blessed (although my family continuously is in a dynamic state of flux, and there is a mountain of debts yet to clear, and more...), that i truly want to use my time to help others and attempt to make their lives better. Well, that may not solve their problems entirely, but at least i'm sure my little efforts will help ease their a bit of their woes.

Always see the best in people, and always offer them hope in life. Motivate them! Encourage them! And belive at all times that the best can happen to them too! Let these be cornerstones in your lives too!

Haha some updates: I'm currently planning a pre-christmas party for 20 children from a children's home. Hosts for this party are of course our ever-super-duper-hyper youths from the Y2Y Network! (Y2Y Network is awesome man, by the way... Just look at our projects and our diversity of people... hahaha) Place should be at Jubilee Cinema (VIP LOUNGE!), and movie will be the gonna-be-released "Alvin and the chipmunks". It's a premiere (woo!) Who's says community work can't be fun and yet fruitful? =P

A new type of taste acquired - Japanese Rock!

Haha yes, there haven't been any visible activity backed by empirical observations for a very long time, as many can perceive.

I'm now under the intense stress of A levels examinations - THE REAL ONE!

How i wish it's a period of hibernation instead. (drained out)

Haha it's been rather fine up till now, with Physics Paper 3 and General Paper past, and 9 more papers to go. And how i wish for 20th Novemeber to approach soon, where i can be liberated from such pressure!

This song is called Doubt & Trust by Access, and used for the latest opening theme of D Gray Man! And haha, yup, James is apparently super obsessed with D Gray Man and Jap Rock. But it isn't any major problem as sometimes i can really feel the beats of the songs helping me to drown the inner voices of my stress!
